This paper is concerned with the effect of the measurement uncertainty of tensile properties on dynamic buckling analysis of a circular tube. The tensile properties of a steel sheet are measured at the strain rates ranged from 0.003/sec to 100/sec. The measurement uncertainty of tyhe tensile properties was evaluated according to the law of uncertainty propagation considering all input quantities: the tensile load; the initial length, the thickness and width of a specimen; and the deformed length of a specimen. The effect of the uncertainty on the dynamic buckling analysis is investigated using a stochastic approach which is called Monte Carlo method. Finite element analyses of the dynamic buckling of the circular tube are conducted with random material properties which are generated according to a probability distribution identified by the measurement uncertainty. Consequentlty, the buckling distance and reaction force of the circular tube are statistically investigated by estimating their observed distribution and the standard deviations.
