This paper evaluates the fracture strains of the three metallic materials: 4130 steel (BCC); OFHC copper (FCC); and Ti6Al4V (HCP). The fracture tests at strain rates ranging from 0.001s-1 to 100s-1 are carried out with the pure shear, dog bone and grooved specimens for the strain paths of the pure shear, uniaxial tension and plain strain conditions respectively. The fracture tests are recorded by the high speed camera in order to compute the fracture strains with the digital image correlation (DIC) method. The fracture strains under the different loading paths are calibrated with Lou-Huh fracture model to develop the fracture loci with respect to the strain rates.
